Terms & Conditions of Service

Welcome to the official Terms and Conditions documentation for Noteezy - Notes, Task, Diary (Package ID: com.edureminder.notepad), published by Edu Reminder Ltd. (“Edu Reminder”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Noteezy (the "Mobile Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not install or use the application.

1. Acceptance & Grant of License

Edu Reminder Ltd. grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to download, install, and use Noteezy strictly in accordance with these Terms and applicable Google Play Store developer guidelines.

You agree that you will not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the compiled Noteezy APK binary.
• Use the application for unlawful purposes, spamming, or violating any intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempt to bypass local biometric security locks, database encryption, or in-app billing mechanisms.

2. Permissions & Feature Execution Logic

Noteezy utilizes specific Android permissions to provide core features, including exact alarms, task notifications, background workers, and Google Drive backup:

1. Notifications & Alarms (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED):
   Required to deliver task alarms and note reminders at user-defined times, even following a device reboot.
2. Foreground Services (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC):
   Required on Android 14+ (API 34+) for background data sync and alarm worker execution without premature OS termination.
3. Network & Cloud Sync (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE):
   Used for optional Google Drive backup/restore, Firebase Analytics telemetry, and Firebase Crashlytics crash reporting.
4. Biometric Security (USE_BIOMETRIC):
   Used strictly on-device to verify fingerprint/face unlock for locked notes. Biometric credentials are authenticated by Android OS hardware and are never collected or transmitted.

3. User Data, Backups & Account Responsibility

• Local Storage & Data Ownership: All notes, task lists, folders, and checklists belong to you and are stored in local SQLite database sandboxes on your device.
• Google Drive Sync: When you enable Google Drive sync, backup files (EdureminderBackup) are saved directly into your personal Google Drive storage. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Google Account credentials.
• Data Loss Disclaimer: Edu Reminder Ltd. is not responsible for data loss resulting from hardware damage, device theft, factory resets, OS upgrades, or accidental application uninstallation by the user. Users are encouraged to maintain periodic Google Drive backups.

4. Third-Party Services & Integrations

Noteezy integrates third-party software libraries provided by Google LLC:

• Google Drive API: Used for cloud backup and restore.
• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: Used for anonymized usage statistics, performance tracking, and crash log reporting.
• Google Play Billing: Used for processing secure in-app purchases and subscriptions.

Your interaction with these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All software source code, user interface designs, branding elements, graphics, icons, and logos contained in Noteezy are the exclusive intellectual property of Edu Reminder Ltd. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Noteezy is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• Edu Reminder Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption arising out of your use or inability to use Noteezy.

7. Account Termination & Data Deletion

You may terminate your use of Noteezy at any time by uninstalling the application. You can delete all account linkages and cloud backup references by executing the Delete Account feature inside Settings -> Delete Account or clearing app data under Android Settings.

8. Changes to Terms

Edu Reminder Ltd. reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Modified terms will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Noteezy after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
