Welcome to the official Privacy Policy for Noteezy - Notes, Task, Diary (Package ID: com.edureminder.notepad), published by Edu Reminder Ltd. (“Edu Reminder”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

We respect your digital sovereignty and privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what permissions our Android application uses, what data is processed, how Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics operate within the app, and how user-initiated Google Drive synchronization functions.

1. Permissions Requested & Operational Purpose

To deliver exact alarms, task reminders, background cloud backups, and local biometric security, Noteezy requests the following Android permissions:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS)
  Required on Android 13+ (API 33+) to display scheduled note reminders, task alerts, and checklist notifications on your status bar.

• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED (android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED)
  Allows the application to automatically restore and re-schedule your exact task alarms and note reminders whenever your device is rebooted or updated.

• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM & USE_EXACT_ALARM (android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM, android.permission.USE_EXACT_ALARM)
  Enables high-precision alarm scheduling so task reminders trigger at the exact minute and second you set.

• WAKE_LOCK (android.permission.WAKE_LOCK)
  Briefly prevents the CPU from sleeping when an exact reminder alarm or background sync worker executes.

• FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC (android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE, android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC)
  Required on Android 14+ (API 34+) to execute data synchronization tasks (such as Google Drive backup and restore via WorkManager) reliably in the background without being terminated by the OS.

• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE (android.permission.INTERNET, android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)
  Required to perform Google Drive cloud backups (when enabled by you), transmit anonymized telemetry to Firebase Analytics, report crash logs to Firebase Crashlytics, and support in-app purchases.

• BILLING (com.android.vending.BILLING)
  Supports Google Play In-App Purchases and billing subscriptions for optional premium feature upgrades.

• AD_ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID)
  Google Advertising Identifier permission used for diagnostics, Firebase Analytics attribution, and optional advertising frameworks.

• USE_BIOMETRIC & USE_FINGERPRINT (android.permission.USE_BIOMETRIC, android.permission.USE_FINGERPRINT)
  Allows you to lock and unlock sensitive notes using local device biometric sensors (fingerprint or face unlock).

2. Analytics & Crash Diagnostics

To maintain application stability, improve feature performance, and diagnose technical errors, Noteezy integrates official Google Firebase SDKs:

A. Firebase Analytics (Google LLC)

We collect aggregated, anonymized usage telemetry, including:

• Screen View Events: (e.g. add_note_screen, edit_note_screen, add_task_screen, settings_screen, sync_account_screen).
• Feature Actions: Anonymized metrics on note creation, task completion toggles, folder creation, pin/lock actions, and backup executions.
• Device Characteristics: Operating system version, device model, language preferences, and general app usage trends.

This data helps us evaluate feature adoption and refine application usability. Firebase Analytics does not capture or read the text content of your personal notes, tasks, or diary entries.

B. Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC)

If the application crashes or encounters non-fatal runtime exceptions (such as network timeouts during Google Drive backup):

• Crash reports containing stack traces, OS versions, memory status, and device hardware attributes are transmitted automatically.
• Non-fatal exception details are logged to help our engineering team identify and patch software bugs swiftly.

3. Personal Data & Google Drive Cloud Backup

A. Local Storage

By default, Noteezy operates as a local-first productivity workspace. Your notes, task lists, folders, and settings remain stored on your physical device inside isolated SQLite database sandboxes.

B. Google Drive Synchronization (Optional)

If you choose to log in with your Google Account to back up or restore your data:

• Account Info: We access your Google account email address and display name solely to show your signed-in profile within the app interface.
• Cloud Files: Backup archives (EdureminderBackup) are created and retrieved directly within your personal Google Drive storage space.
• No Server Storage: We do not host, harvest, sell, or inspect your Google Drive backup files on external servers. Access tokens are used exclusively on your device to communicate directly with Google Drive APIs.

4. Data Protection & Encryption

• Local Protection: Confidential notes can be locked using local PIN codes or biometric locks.
• Transmission Security: Communication with Google Drive and Firebase APIs is encrypted over standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.
• User Authority: You retain full ownership and control over your local and cloud data at all times.

5. Account Deletion & Right to be Forgotten

You have full control over erasing your personal content:

1. In-App Note & Task Deletion: Delete individual notes, tasks, or folders at any time directly in the app UI or purge them from the Deleted/Recycle Bin screen.
2. Account Disconnect & Token Revocation: Navigate to Settings -> Delete Account inside Noteezy. Confirming deletion immediately revokes your Google account token, logs out the user, and disconnects cloud sync linkings.
3. Google Drive Backup Erasure: You can visit Google Drive and delete the EdureminderBackup folder to permanently erase all remote backup files.
4. Complete Local Storage Erasure: Open Android Settings > Apps > Noteezy > Storage > Clear Data. This instantly wipes all local SQLite database files, preferences, and cached assets from your device.

6. Children's Privacy

Noteezy is designed for general productivity and does not knowingly solicit or collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@edureminder.com so we can remove it immediately.

7. In-App Purchases & Advertising

• Google Play Billing: Integrated to process optional premium upgrades and subscriptions via Google Play Store.
• Advertising Frameworks: Noteezy may integrate Google AdMob libraries. Google Play may display an "Contains Ads" label. Advertisements comply with Google Play Developer Policies.

8. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features, OS permissions, or regulatory standards. Updates will be posted on this page with an updated "lastModified" timestamp.
