Money Manager: Expense Tracker (referred to as "we," "our," or "the App") is developed by Edu Reminder to help you track budgets, expenses, and savings. This Privacy Policy outlines our data handling policies, what permissions the app requests, and how we protect your financial and personal privacy.

By downloading and using our Service, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Local Storage & Data Ownership

Your financial privacy is our highest priority.

• Local-First Database: All financial records you enter — including transactions, income, expense logs, budget caps, savings targets, and payment accounts (cards) — are stored locally on your device in a secure Room database and DataStore preferences.
• No Access to Financial Data: We do not collect, store, or transmit your financial transactions to our servers or any third-party databases. We cannot read, edit, or access your budgets or ledger records.
• Data Portability: You can manually export your financial history into standard CSV or Excel documents to share or save as you choose.

2. Cloud Backup & Synchronization

Money Manager offers an optional premium feature to backup and synchronize your financial database across devices.

• Google Drive Integration: If you choose to enable cloud backups, the app connects directly to your personal Google Drive account using secure Google Sign-In OAuth protocols.
• OAuth Scopes: The app requests access to drive.file and drive.appdata to upload and download your database backup file (named backup_money_manager.json or backup_money_manager.db) in a dedicated folder (MoneyManagerBackup) or the hidden app data space.
• No Third-Party Server Intermediaries: The backup process occurs directly between your device and Google's servers. Edu Reminder has no access to your Google account password, credentials, or backup files.

3. Remote Token Synchronization

To deliver updates, app notices, and system alerts via push notifications, the app synchronizes your device identifier and messaging tokens.

• Data Collected: The app securely transmits your Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) registration token, secure Device ID, device manufacturer and model, OS version, app version, approximate country/region (determined by your device locale settings), system language, timezone, and mobile network carrier name to our secure Cloudflare backend infrastructure. If you choose to sign in to Google Drive for cloud backups, we may also sync your associated Google email address, user ID, and display name to associate your token with your account.
• Purpose: This data is used solely to route and target push notifications to active devices and provide personalized technical support.
• Retention Policy: Registration tokens and associated device parameters are encrypted in transit and stored securely. Temporary token entries are subject to an automated cleaning process and are deleted from our database after 7 days of inactivity.

4. Advertising & Monetization (AdMob)

To keep the basic version of Money Manager free, we display ads using Google AdMob.

• Data Processed: AdMob may collect and process your device's Google Advertising ID (AAID), IP address, and basic device properties to serve relevant ads, enforce frequency capping, and perform ad attribution.
• Opt-Out: You can opt-out of personalized ads at any time via your device settings:

  Android Settings → Google → Ads → Delete Advertising ID (or Opt out of Ads Personalization)

• Ad-Free Premium Option: Users who purchase a premium subscription will have all ads fully disabled, preventing any ad-related data collection.

5. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

We offer premium subscriptions for advanced features like automated cloud backups, customized budgets, and ad removal.

• Billing Provider: All in-app purchases and subscriptions are handled securely through the Google Play Store billing platform and processed using the RevenueCat SDK.
• Data Collected: RevenueCat processes transaction identifiers, active entitlement status (such as premium status), purchase history, and device type using anonymous user IDs. No billing details, credit card numbers, or personal payment credentials are ever sent to or processed by Edu Reminder.

6. Analytics & Performance Diagnostics

We use third-party tools to monitor app stability and improve performance.

6.1 Google Firebase Analytics

We collect aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to understand app usage.

• Events Logged: Add/edit/delete transaction events (including category name, amount, currency, and type), account/card actions, ad click/load states, default currency and language preferences, screen views, and purchase logs.
• PII Exclusion: Firebase Analytics does not collect names, email addresses, or transaction descriptions. All logged parameters are purely anonymous.

6.2 Firebase Crashlytics

In the event of an application crash or freeze (ANR), Crashlytics automatically logs diagnostic reports.

• Reports Collected: Stack traces, device state (memory usage, screen orientation, CPU configuration), and device model. This data is kept for 90 days and is used solely for troubleshooting.

7. Microphone Permission

Money Manager requests the RECORD_AUDIO permission only when you choose to use the voice input feature.

• Purpose: The microphone is used to capture your speech and convert it into text, allowing you to quickly create or edit financial records using your voice.
• User Control: The microphone is activated only after you explicitly tap the voice input button. It is never activated in the background.
• Audio Processing: Audio is processed by Android's speech recognition service to generate text. The app does not record, store, or retain audio recordings after speech recognition is complete.

• Local Data: Your transaction records remain on your device indefinitely until you uninstall the app or clear its storage cache. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all local records.
• Google Drive Backups: You can delete your backup files at any time directly from your Google Drive account.
• Remote Notification Tokens: Notification tokens and telemetry data on our Cloudflare servers are overwritten on update and inactive temporary tokens are automatically purged after 7 days.
• Analytics & Crash Logs: Firebase Analytics data has a retention period of 14 months, and Crashlytics reports are purged after 90 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Our application is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will immediately delete it from our servers.

10. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Modified" date. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
