Welcome to the official Terms and Conditions documentation for My Diary - Life Journal (published by Edu Reminder Ltd.). By downloading, installing, or accessing this application, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

1. Description of Service

My Diary - Life Journal is a personal offline diary, journaling, and mood-tracking application.

• Offline-First Execution: The app executes locally on your device. All data entries, photos, and drawing canvas sketches remain in local memory unless you manually authenticate and connect to your Google Drive account for backups.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: The app processes a secure Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to send daily reminders and local alerts to keep your journaling schedule active.

2. Passcodes & Security Responsibility

To protect your privacy, the app allows you to lock your diary entries with a passcode (PIN, Pattern, or Fingerprint lock).

• Passcode Recovery: You are strongly encouraged to configure security recovery questions in the settings panel during passcode configuration.
• Data Sovereignty Disclaimer: Since we do not store, access, or hold your passcodes or diary databases on our servers, if you forget your passcode and have not configured recovery questions, we cannot reset your lock or retrieve your diaries.

3. Cloud Synchronization & Account Sync

If you unlock the premium backup and sync features:

• Account Integration: The app uses Google Drive OAuth APIs to establish backup storage directly in your personal Google Drive account.
• Storage Limits: You are responsible for ensuring your Google Account has sufficient storage capacity and that your Google credentials remain secure.
• Disclaimer: Edu Reminder Ltd. is not responsible for cloud synchronization failures, data corruption, or third-party breaches occurring within your private Google Drive environment.

4. Premium Subscriptions & Billing

Certain advanced features (such as Auto-Sync, decorative bullet lists, and premium fonts) require an active paid subscription (Monthly or Yearly plans).

• Billing & Purchases: All billing operations are handled directly and securely through the Google Play Store billing platform.
• Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you turn off auto-renewal in your Google Play Store subscription settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Refunds: Refunds are processed solely according to Google Play Store refund policies and must be initiated through your Google account order history.

5. Intellectual Property

All source code, layouts, UI designs, graphics, customized stickers, and animations inside My Diary are the exclusive intellectual property of Edu Reminder Ltd. and are protected under international copyright and trademark laws. You may not reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute any part of the software.

6. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

• "As-Is" Provision: The application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
• Data Loss Disclaimer: Edu Reminder Ltd. is not liable for any direct or indirect loss of data, text diaries, photos, or drawings resulting from app uninstallation, device formatting, hardware damage, or system errors. Always maintain an offline backup or active cloud sync to protect your memories.

7. User Age & Eligibility

By downloading and using My Diary - Life Journal, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country of residence, e.g., 16 in certain EU countries).

• Under 13 Restriction: If you are under 13, you are not authorized to use the application or connect it to any cloud sync services.
• Parental Responsibility: Parents or legal guardians who permit minors to use the app are bound by these Terms and remain responsible for supervising their usage.
