Welcome to the official Privacy Policy documentation for My Diary - Life Journal (published by Edu Reminder Ltd.). We are deeply committed to protecting your personal information, respecting your digital sovereignty, and providing a 100% secure journaling environment.

1. Data Collection & Processing

Unlike traditional apps that upload your personal life stories to external databases, My Diary is designed to keep your data local and anonymous.

A. Journal Data, Photos, and Media

• No Server Storage: All text entries, mood records, attached photos, custom styling configurations, and drawings are stored locally and exclusively inside your device's private SQL sandbox database.
• We do not collect or read your writings: Edu Reminder Ltd. has no access to your diary logs, images, or personal reflections. Your life stories remain private to you.

B. Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Push Tokens

• The Only Collected Token: The only data dynamically collected is the Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push token.
• Purpose: This token is used strictly to trigger and manage daily notification reminders, customized alerts, and system notifications that you enable.
• Security: The token is processed securely and anonymously. It does not contain any personal identifiers, names, emails, or diary content.

C. Billing & Subscription Transactions

• Google Play Billing & RevenueCat: All premium upgrades (Monthly, Yearly) are processed directly and securely by Google Play Billing and RevenueCat.
• No Database Storage: We do not keep, view, or manage billing records, credit card numbers, or transaction databases. Entitlements are validated securely on-device using official Google Play APIs.

D. Diagnostics & Usage Analytics (Google Firebase)

To help us monitor app stability, fix crashes, and improve the overall user experience, the app integrates Google Firebase services:

• Firebase Crashlytics: If the app crashes or freezes, it transmits an anonymous diagnostic report. This contains the stack trace, device model, operating system version, and memory status. This data is used solely to debug and resolve software glitches.
• Firebase Analytics: We collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (such as feature clicks and app launch frequency) using pseudonymous installation IDs. This helps us optimize features.
• No Journal Access: Neither Firebase Analytics nor Firebase Crashlytics has access to your personal diary text entries, photos, drawings, or passcode credentials. Your written memories remain strictly private and local.

2. Device Permissions Required

To deliver full creative functionality, My Diary may request the following system permissions on your mobile device:

• Notifications Permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Requested dynamically on Android 13+ to deliver your daily journaling reminders, motivation alerts, and sync status updates.
• Storage / Photo Access: Required strictly to allow you to import photos from your device gallery directly into your daily journal entries and place decorative stickers.
• Biometric/Lock Sensors: Accesses your device's secure hardware enclave locally to verify your fingerprint or face scan when unlocking your private diary (if enabled).

3. Cloud Sync & Backup (Google Drive Integration)

For users who want to access their diaries across multiple devices or prevent data loss during hardware replacement:

• Direct Private Sync: The app integrates with the Google Drive OAuth API to perform cloud synchronization.
• Your Own Storage: All sync packages, media files, and databases are uploaded directly into a hidden, secure directory on your own private Google Drive account.
• Zero Developer Access: We have no server-side middleman. Edu Reminder Ltd. cannot access, read, download, or share any of the files stored in your private Google Drive sync directory.

4. Children’s Privacy, COPPA, & Parental Control

We take the safety and privacy of young users extremely seriously. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR-K), and all Google Play Console Developer Families Policies.

A. Age Restrictions & Target Audience

• Age limit: My Diary - Life Journal is not intentionally directed towards children under the age of 13. The application is structured and intended for a target audience of users aged 13 and older (Teens and Adults).
• No Child Data Collection: We do not knowingly solicit, collect, process, or store any personal data or credentials from children under 13.

B. Parental Intervention & Data Deletion

• Since the app stores all diary logs, drawings, and pictures strictly locally on the user's device, parents have complete immediate access to delete all minor data.
• If a parent or legal guardian discovers that their child under 13 has installed the app and set up a local database or linked a Google Drive sync profile:

  1. Open the app settings on the device and tap Clear Data / Clear Storage to instantly shred the entire local database.
  2. If a Google Drive sync profile was configured, follow the steps in our Data Deletion Instructions to remove the cloud backup folder.
  3. You may contact us at support@edureminder.com to confirm that no personal data was or ever will be retained on our systems.

5. Security & Passcode Recovery

Sensitive user databases are locked locally on your device with industry-standard encryption.

• PIN/Pattern Lock: If you configure a lock passcode, please ensure you configure your security recovery questions.
• No Database Backdoor: Because we have no database access, if you forget your passcode and have not set up your recovery questions, your encrypted diary cannot be recovered by our support team, ensuring absolute digital custody.
