Welcome to the official Terms and Conditions documentation for Al Quran – القرآن الكريم (published by Edu Reminder Ltd.). By downloading, installing, or accessing this application, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.
Software License Agreement: This application is licensed, not sold, to you for personal, non-commercial, educational, and spiritual use. Users are solely responsible for managing local device backups and maintaining the security of their authenticated Google Accounts.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Al Quran, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
Age Requirement: You represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent required in your country).
Minors & Parental Supervision: If you are a parent or guardian allowing a minor to use the application, you agree to supervise their usage and assume full responsibility for compliance with these Terms.
2. Sanctity of Islamic Texts & Religious Scholarly Disclaimer
Edu Reminder Ltd. is dedicated to preserving the absolute integrity, precision, and sanctity of the Holy Quran and authentic Islamic literature.
a. Textual Authenticity & Mushaf Typography
The Quranic Arabic text presented within this application adheres to globally certified Uthmani script standards (Madani Mushaf, aligned with the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran) and recognized IndoPak typography.
Translations, Tafseer, and Word-by-Word linguistic breakdowns are sourced exclusively from established, peer-reviewed Islamic ministries, academic research institutions, and certified scholarly translators.
b. Educational Scope & Scholarly Consultation
Scholarly & Legal Advice Statement:Al Quran is provided purely as an educational, reading, listening, and memorization tool. The application, its translations, Tafseer compilations, and search results do not constitute legal rulings (fatwas), canonical jurisprudence, or formal religious decrees. For specific personal obligations, religious verdicts, or complex theological disputes, always consult qualified, recognized Islamic scholars.
3. User Accounts & Google Drive Cloud Synchronization
To enrich your reading journey, the application offers optional cloud synchronization via Google Sign-In:
Direct Cloud Storage: When enabled, the app utilizes official Google Drive APIs to sync your bookmarks, verse reflections/notes, reading trackers (Surah, Juz, Page, Hizb), and memorization checklists directly to your private Google Drive (appDataFolder).
Zero Middleman Storage: Edu Reminder Ltd. operates no central database hosting your synchronized data. We do not store, access, view, or distribute your private notes or reading records.
Account Security: You are solely responsible for safeguarding your Google account credentials and ensuring your Google Drive has adequate available storage space.
Sync Availability: While we strive to provide reliable sync functionality, Edu Reminder Ltd. cannot be held liable for sync delays, cloud connectivity interruptions, or data losses resulting from third-party Google service outages or device operating system constraints.
The core Quranic text, recitations, translations, and memorization tools are completely accessible and free to use.
Sadaqah Jariyah: We provide optional avenues for users to make voluntary contributions (Sadaqah Jariyah) to assist with ongoing maintenance, audio distribution bandwidth, and translation database expansions.
Billing Infrastructure: In-app contributions and purchases are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing and RevenueCat.
Refund Policies: Voluntary contributions are processed as final donations. Any requests for refunds are governed strictly by the Google Play Store Terms of Service and refund guidelines.
5. Intellectual Property & Digital Rights
We maintain a strict distinction between sacred Islamic texts and proprietary software engineering:
Sacred Public Domain: The Holy Quran is the uncreated, divine word of Allah and resides in the sacred public domain. No copyright claim is made over the original Quranic Arabic text.
Proprietary Code & Interface: The application source code, visual UI layouts, interactive audio-verse synchronization mechanisms, reading tracker designs, typography engine integrations, custom icons, and Edu Reminder branding are the exclusive intellectual property of Edu Reminder Ltd. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
License Restrictions: You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the application binaries without explicit written permission from Edu Reminder Ltd.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
When using Al Quran, you agree to uphold spiritual respect and technical integrity:
You will not use the application for any unlawful, misleading, or defamatory purpose.
You will not attempt to bypass security protections, probe network endpoints, or disrupt audio streaming servers or Supabase content delivery networks.
You will not distribute automated scraping scripts, bots, or crawlers against the app’s public media CDNs.
7. Limitation of Liability & "As-Is" Provision
"As-Is" Warranty: The application, including all content, audio streams, and sync services, is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
Data Loss Disclaimer: Edu Reminder Ltd. shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss of personal verse notes, reading markers, or memorization progress resulting from device formatting, operating system upgrades, app uninstallation, or cloud synchronization errors. We strongly encourage users to maintain regular cloud sync backups.
Audio & Content Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to third-party audio recitation streams or server-hosted PDF resources, which may occasionally be affected by network conditions or server maintenance.
8. Termination of Service
You may terminate your agreement with these Terms at any time by simply uninstalling the application and removing any synced data from your Google Drive.
Edu Reminder Ltd. reserves the right to suspend or discontinue support for specific legacy app versions or features at any time without prior liability.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms and Conditions periodically to align with software updates, regulatory mandates, or new features. Changes become effective upon publication on this page with an updated lastModified date. Your continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
