User Data Deletion Instructions

At Edu Reminder Ltd., we respect your privacy and provide complete control over your data in full compliance with Google Play's Account & Data Deletion Policy, GDPR (Article 17 - Right to Erasure), and CCPA/CPRA.

1. How Your Data is Stored

Vocabulary: Learn Words is engineered as an offline-first application.

• We do not require mandatory account creation (no forced email or password login).
• All your personal learning metrics, bookmarks, created stacks, and reminder alarms reside directly in your phone's private application sandbox (SQLite / Room database).

Because no personal study records are kept on remote servers, you can initiate and complete full data deletion directly from your own device at any time.

2. Step-by-Step Data Erasure Guide

Option A: In-App Progress Reset (Retains App Installation)

To wipe all study progress, custom stacks, and quiz history while keeping the app installed:

1. Open Vocabulary: Learn Words.
2. Tap the Settings tab on the bottom navigation bar.
3. Scroll to the Learning Management section.
4. Select Reset All Learning Progress and confirm the prompt.
5. All word mastery counters, SRS queues, streak days, and custom stacks will be immediately scrubbed from the local database.

Option B: Full Application Data Cleansing (Recommended)

To permanently erase all databases, shared preferences, cached TTS audio, and alarm configurations:

1. Open your Android device Settings.
2. Navigate to Apps (or App Management) > See All Apps.
3. Select Vocabulary (or Vocabulary: Learn Words).
4. Tap Storage & Cache.
5. Tap Clear Storage (or Clear Data), then tap OK.
6. All local databases, preferences, and cached assets are permanently deleted from your hardware.

Option C: Complete App Uninstallation

Uninstalling the app triggers the Android operating system to immediately destroy the application sandbox directory, removing 100% of local files and stored databases.

3. Third-Party Analytics & Crash Telemetry Deletion

If you wish to request deletion of anonymous telemetry data collected by third-party diagnostic services (such as Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics):

• Reset Advertising ID: Open device Settings > Google > Ads and tap Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
• Direct Deletion Request: Send an email to support@edureminder.com with the subject [Data Deletion Request - Vocabulary App]. Our engineering team will purge any related diagnostic logs within 30 business days.

4. Retention Boundaries & Zero Residual Policy

Once you execute local data clearing or uninstallation:

• Residual Data: 0% retained. We do not maintain off-site backup copies of your local flashcard stacks or study notes.
• Subscription Receipts: Purchase tokens validated via Google Play Billing remain tied to your Google Play Account and can be restored anytime by reinstalling the app and tapping Restore Purchases in Settings.
